I’ve been coming to Bella’s for a few years and have never been disappointed! Food is amazing and staff is great! Melissa is often my server, she’s always on point! I love the new pancake kit option for the storm as well. Great idea, let’s continue it.
Bella’s is worth the wait and never disappoints. The shrimp and grits is my favorite breakfast but their specials like Sicilian eggs Benedict are fantastic. The staff is friendly and the food is great.
Best shrimp and grits!!!! Staff is friendly and courteous, this is my stop anytime I have a day off. I wouldn’t recommend going on weekends there’s usually a long wait.

If you’re looking for a great breakfast spot with a calm and relaxing ambiance, Bella’s Cafe is a must-visit! My first time here and from the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was inviting, and the service was top-notch. Michael, our waiter, was incredibly nice and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. The food here is absolutely amazing! The pancakes were a highlight—fluffy, big, and perfectly cooked. We also tried the Eggs Benedict and an omelet, both of which were delicious and expertly prepared. I highly recommend Bella’s Cafe for anyone wanting to enjoy a relaxing breakfast experience with great food and excellent service. This place is a gem!
Can’t recommend this place enough. Karen, Josh, and Kyron made our family/birthday brunch a wonderful experience. Karen and Josh went above and beyond to make us feel special. The food is SPECTACULAR. Loved the French toast and omelettes. Treat yourself to the orange juice or chai latte too. The wait for food is long, but absolutely worth it.
Our server was honest in honoring dietary restrictions and was friendly. I really enjoyed my food and was pleased to know they have breakfast sausage options.
The team at Bella Cafe is so warm and welcoming! They were kind from the get-go and were attentive in their service. In particular, Melissa along with the crew at the bar was a delight! The peppermint hot mocha was lovely, and the holiday decorations were gorgeous!.
hands down the best place in Connecticut to get brunch or breakfast there’s no doubt about it. If Gordon Ramsay came here he would actually be impressed. I think ask the owner for pointers!!! It’s a little frustrating when they’re really busy, but it’s worth the wait. They have a case with some kind of delicious bread in it sometimes so I suggest ordering some of that with butter/cream cheese while you’re waiting for your food with a nice cappuccino …everything is just DEVINE!!!
Bella’s Café is the best spot for breakfast in New Haven. The pancakes were huge, thick, and perfectly fluffy. A stack of 3 pancakes is plenty for 1 person. The croissant was just as impressive, buttery and delicious. The potatoes were also delicious, well-seasoned, and full of flavor. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff provided excellent service. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The only issue was that we came on a busy Sunday morning, and it took about 45 minutes for our food to come out. If you’re planning to come in the morning on a weekend, just be prepared for a long wait to get seated and served. That being said, the food is worth it. Wasn’t too expensive either, especially given the huge portions and servings of food. If you’re in New Haven and want a great breakfast, Bella’s Café is the place to go.
